Survive and rebuild
A stroke changed Kevin’s daily life. Recovery grew through professional and family support, repeated practice, difficult setbacks and the decision to keep going.
Kevin’s story
I've walked this road of recovery, one step at a time.
一步一脚印After experiencing a stroke, I also faced the uncertainty of not always knowing what the next step in recovery should be.
As I learned to rebuild my life one step at a time, I continued learning, putting things into practice, and eventually began accompanying other stroke survivors and their families through their own recovery journeys.
Today, I bring together what I have lived, learned and practised, in the hope of helping stroke survivors and their families find greater clarity about their own next step.
One clear journey
A stroke changed Kevin’s daily life. Recovery grew through professional and family support, repeated practice, difficult setbacks and the decision to keep going.
Recovery gave Kevin a new purpose: to turn hard-won lessons into encouragement that could help someone else feel less alone.
The journey continues through personal volunteer service at Tung Shin Hospital—listening, encouraging and supporting people in recovery with dignity.
What Kevin can offer
Kevin’s experience is his own. It is not a prescription and does not replace advice from qualified healthcare professionals.
He shares the practical lessons, emotional realities and sources of strength that helped him keep moving—alongside, never instead of, professional care.
Volunteer service
Kevin and the volunteer team spend time with people in recovery—listening, encouraging and supporting suitable activities in coordination with care teams.
This is Kevin’s personal volunteer service. It is not presented as a Tung Shin Hospital programme or as medical treatment.
