Why this academy

Therapy may take an hour. Recovery continues through the rest of the day.

One Step at a Time ~ The Road to Recovery

A Chinese-language recovery learning programme shaped by Kevin's lived recovery experience, years of learning and practice, and his experience accompanying stroke survivors and families.

It focuses on the everyday part of recovery between professional appointments — understanding the journey, mindset, routines, suitable action, rest, family support and the choices made in daily life.

Recovery does not happen only during therapy. Much of the journey continues through everyday life.

Educational support from lived experience—not medical diagnosis, treatment, personalised rehabilitation advice or a replacement for professional care.

Why begin now

Start early when you can.
If you are already further along, keep going.

Every recovery journey and pace is different.

Wherever you are today, look at what you can begin, what you can continue, and what you can keep working on one step at a time.
